These last few months have been really hard on our family and we have been trying to bring closure to the loss of mom and dad, but everyday there is something the brings back memories, and you find yourself crying and missing them all the more.

At the funeral I thought that this is as bad as it gets, but I soon found out that it get much worse when you are all alone, and find yourself wanting to call and check on them, but then you have to remember that they are not there.

Every time we have to settle something with the estate you can’t help think about them, and it makes it hard to even get the simple things accomplished.

This week me are hoping to wrap up everything with the estate, and try to get back to our lives and families, but this has been a hard time for everyone.

It has been a few months since my parents passed away but the sadness just will not seem to lift.  I know everyone keeps saying that things are going to get better, but I find myself missing them more and more.  I just wish they were here with me to sit down and play domino’s that was my mothers favorite game.

I miss watching the football game with my dad, and listen to him yell at the team when they screwed up.  How can you move on, when all you can think about is times shared.

Today, I am going to the place where we scattered their ashes because I want to spend a little time in pray, and let them know that I love them, that I miss them, and that I will join the in heaven one day, and we will be a family again.

She asked that instead of a funeral we give her a cremation costs, so we did.  She was truly a wonderful lady that spent her life caring for her children.

At the cremation service we honored her by having friends and family come and tell their favorite story about time spent with mom, it was truly touching to see the responce, and listen to many stories I had never heard. Read the rest of this entry »
